The Glassblowing Section provides service to the following Department of the Institute
Chemistry Department, Bio-tech Engineering Department, Chemical Engineering, Cryogenic, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Agricultural & Food Engineering, Aquaculture, Physics and Meteorology Departments, Nano Science, ATDC.
IIT, Kharagpur has got largest number of departments and infrastructure for under graduate and postgraduate studies as well as research. To cater to its manifold activities, they also have large number of electronic equipment. Also the various state of the art machines has electronic controls. Electronic Service Section provides post warranty service and maintenance support to all such equipment. The unit also helps the students to design and fabricate their electronic sub-assemblies. Various types of electronics machines are repaired and redesigned here as per requirement.
